Accounting / Financial Reporting Manager

WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

An Accounting/Financial Reporting Manager to join a rapidly growing organization reporting to the CFO.  This individual is responsible for leading the accounting, financial reporting and control process. Duties include supervising the payables and expense approvals, ensuring software contract data is accurate, preparing the consolidated financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles for the annual audit process as well as monthly internal reports and leading the process for determining the appropriate accounting treatment for complex technical accounting issues, such as revenue recognition and lease accounting. Most importantly, the candidate will work with people across the US and in Europe to manage our financial processes and support the needs of our large, global customers.

SPECIFICALLY, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Manage the monthly closing and coordinate all external reporting including annual financial statements, regulatory reports and monthly reports to investors
  • Help complete the transition to Intacct during the Fall of 2016
  • Maintain detailed reconciliations, prepare and review general ledger entries and ensure the timeliness and accuracy of the financial statements
  • Prepare an internal reporting package for management detailing financial performance including both GAAP financials and business metrics
  • Research and implement controls over all complex accounting matters
  • Coordinate with the Company’s external auditors and manage the year-end audit process
  • Coach and develop the financial acumen of all team members
  • Maintain HR Masterfile and process semi-monthly payroll for US and UK employees
  • Manage banking transactions and A/R cash application
  • Oversee the PO approval process

THE QUALIFYING CANDIDATE MUST HAVE:

  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Accounting or a related field
  • CPA desired
  • Experience with mid-range accounting software; we are currently implementing Intacct
  • Strong leadership skills and motivation
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including for-profit company and/or public accounting experience
  • Enthusiasm to thrive in a rapidly growing start-up atmosphere where roles adapt as the company evolves and we all pitch in to complete the work required
