Microsoft: How to Elevate Enterprise Collaboration
Video at work, works
Video is all over our personal lives, why not our work lives? According to Cisco, internet video traffic will be over 80% of all consumer internet traffic by 2021. 400 hours of video are uploaded to YouTube every minute, and the time people spend watching YouTube has more than doubled in the past year.
People learn better when they use video
People only remember 10 % of what they hear after 3 days, but if a relevant image is paired with that same information, retention goes up to 65%. That explains why the New York Times now publishes at least 15 multimedia pieces per day.
Trust happens faster via video
According to a study by the University of Michigan, video calling is the most effective form of communication. And, in our Generation Now report, 64% of office workers agree that they will trust a message more if they can see the person speaking. If you saw any of the announcements from Microsoft this week, you can tell they are committed to collaboration, and they’re using video to achieve collaboration faster. We are excited to be a partner that helps video scale across the enterprise to ensure that enterprise collaboration doesn’t falter because of bandwidth issues.
