Job Description

We’re looking for a front-end web development engineer to help us design and develop the next generation of features for Kollective applications.  You will work with a cross-functional team through all stages of the software development lifecycle and play a critical role in building modern, scalable solutions for our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize strong JavaScript skills and demonstrate a deep understanding of the language's fundamentals.
  • Apply expertise in semantic HTML and CSS to create well-structured web pages.
  • Demonstrate professional experience with React, leveraging its capabilities effectively.
  • Utilize a state management tool, such as Redux, to efficiently manage application state.
  • Showcase cross-platform, cross-device, and cross-browser proficiency, including Windows, OSX, IE, Edge, Chrome, Firefox, and Safari, for both mobile and desktop.
  • Implement responsive web design principles and possess a keen eye for aesthetics and excellent UX design.
  • Develop user-friendly, scalable, robust, and high-volume interactive web applications.

Required Skills:

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or related technical discipline
  • Understanding of Imperative vs Declarative code
  • Experience with functional programming
  • Understanding of basic data structures concepts
  • Experience with Node.js
  • Experience with JS testing frameworks

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with Next.js
  • Experience with Express
  • Experience making visualizations
  • Experience with Webpack
  • Experience with accessibility best practices
  • Familiarity with commonly used Redux middleware
  • Familiarity with Material-UI
