Todd Johnson was CEO of Kollective (previously Kontiki) for two years from 2005 to 2006, and continues with the company today as President and Chairman of the Board. During his time as CEO, he re-positioned Kollective as the leader in the legitimate P2P market segment and then later facilitated the sale of the company to VeriSign. Following the sale, Todd ran VeriSign’s Broadband Content Business, which included Kollective, as Senior Vice President. After Kontiki was spun out of VeriSign, Todd became the Chairman.
Prior to Kollective, Todd spent three years as President of Jamcracker, where he was responsible for all marketing, sales, engineering and operations functions, and also drove product strategy (SAAS platform) and development of an ODC in India. During 1999 and 2000, Todd was Vice President of Worldwide Marketing at Backweb Technologies. This followed a role at Silicon Graphics where he finished as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing. He is also a director of Multicast Media and Chairman of the non-profits, Generations Together and Compassion Planet. Throughout his career, Todd has demonstrated and articulated the importance of effective communications in leadership.
